Even if it was, it was still apparent at other times when we had a shot for example. If people can’t be supportive I don’t know why they can’t just be quiet. It just makes it harder for players when they’re already lacking in confidence. As a fan, why would you choose to do things which harm your own team? It makes no sense at all, unless your agenda is to make things worse so that the manager gets sacked. |

Apologies Max, I had actually moved seats to join in but tried standing down the front for the Brentford game and the view was worse than I thought so I changed my mind. I think that’s gonna put off a lot of people who usually stand further back, there’s a reason why the front rows are the only ones available in the middle section apart from a few dotted around. I was watching though and good effort for continuing to sing without much backing! I’ll keep an eye on the FB group and if the location changes I’ll consider it again. Still think Cobbold upper could work if enough people commit. Do you go to any away games? That could work too... |

He was arguably the pick of a bad bunch on Saturday. Looks like he’s got a goal in him. |

It’s understandable that more people are starting to voice their concerns about the team and management but with two home games coming up there’s a massive opportunity to move forward. Time for the players and fans to step up. The team could really do with the support so it’d be great if there was a good atmosphere at PR to give them a boost and keep the negativity at bay. It’d be awesome if the Blue Action Group can make a difference when it launches at the Bolton game. Apparently they’ll be putting out a statement tomorrow and the section at the front of the lower North has been identified and agreed with the club. Sounds like there’s been a lot of positivity surrounding the idea so hopefully a decent number of people who’ve declared an interest commit to it from the start rather than waiting to see how it goes...if most people take a cautious approach it’ll be hard to get it going. People could always move back if it doesn’t work out. Is anyone on here gonna move/buy a ticket to get involved from the start? |

Yeah I get what you’re saying. Once you’re ready and the block has been identified etc, one way to test it would be to see how many people would actually move to join. I know the ticket office can reserve seats if people are willing to move their s/t but there’s a reason why it can’t be done in time for the next game, say that seat has already been sold as a match ticket for the next game for example. So maybe something could be arranged with the ticket office whereby people ring up to reserve a seat, then when a previously agreed minimum number has been reached, the TO notify you and the word goes out to finalise the moves which is done by people calling the TO to pay the £10 admin fee to move. You should get a good idea of who’s committed from the initial calls to reserve a seat because I doubt people cba to do that if they’re not actually willing to move. Worst case scensrio it doesn’t work out and people move back. |

It’d be a great place to start songs from and include the upper North...North Stand give us a song! Had a look on ITFC Direct and very few season ticket holders there, pretty much the whole block available other than front row and around the stairs so less disruption overall and more room for expansion. Just as visible to the rest of the ground as the middle north for flags etc and better view than the front rows there in S5. If people stood in numbers the club would have to turn a blind eye since they do for away fans at the opposite end. What do the Blue Action founders think re the pros and cons of this? Yeah definitely. It’s just there isn’t many available seats for people to gather there. It probably wouldn’t take much to get it going like you say though so people wouldn’t necessarily have to move to be part of it. |

Totally agree re the point of it, a good atmosphere makes it fun and enjoyable regardless of the result etc and helps whoever is playing for us, loanees or otherwise. Negativity is just counter productive, if people aren’t happy with the performances, why do what’s going to make the performances worse with sarcastic applause etc? Still affects the players even if not aimed at them [Post edited 10 Sep 2018 21:48]

Yeah agree re standing etc hence would have to be an empty block like A in the Cobbold (upper). Location is always going to be the biggest issue. Take the Palace ultras as an example, my mate’s a Palace fan and was telling me but it’s been in the national press too, basically they wanted to move to the middle and expected the club to support them by relocating the existing s/t holders that were there (they’d previously had the singing section at Wembley reserved for them and Parish was generally supportive of the group etc). So the ultras didn’t renew their s/t’s in the corner but then the club said they couldn’t have the middle, by which time they’d lost their seat reservations in the corner as they left it too late and they’d been sold so they got disbanded! My mate said it initially improved the atmosphere but then there was a feeling that the Homesdale Fanatics had got too big for their boots. |

Yeah I agree. It would be better to choose a block like A/B of the Cobbold with plenty of available seats. That way anyone who wants to get involved can just pick a seat to move to and there’s room for expansion. Even if the reserved seating idea isn’t introduced until next season, there’d still be opposition to it. Plus it becomes difficult to spot where the available seats are if you arrive late and you could end up with more people than seats in a row when people try and get in together so the club might not go for it. Plenty of seats in the middle to back of upper North and south upper too although appreciate it’s moving away from the aim of unifying the lower north. |
