| Forum Thread | The next Tory MP criminal? at 21:04 12 Apr 2022
With the paedophile yesterday and the lockdown beakers today, who and what will be tomorrow’s Tory criminal? I’m going for Michael Gove and dog fighting. |

In the end picking a young player is always a risk and some managers feel more comfortable with it than others (so is signing a 27 year old by the way). That's why i don't really buy the "if they're good enough" argument as for instance you have to be lucky to get a place somehow (injuries whatever), get a good loan club to prove yourself etc. |

Cadden definitely looks an option for us but i'd wonder about the step up. Hladky probably struggled with that. |

| Forum Reply | Gamechanger 20 Ltd has acquired the land behind the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand at 08:37 18 Mar 2022
The land belongs to the council, the ground to the club and we pay something silly like £1 a year rent or something. But if there's a deal to be done i'm sure the council and club could all come out of it well. The council will probably want a decent price and guarantees about the site, the club would probably appreciate the freedom of owning everything and owning the ground is quite a key element for pricing a football club - it appears to me - so if they can get everything tied up the club looks a better investment. |
| Forum Reply | Ipswich’s greatest ever performances at 07:48 14 Mar 2022
Makes me wonder what the greatest performance since I’ve been watching (1987) is. Norwich 5-0? Beating Inter? Arsenal in league cup semi? Pale into insignificance compared to St Etienne and Spurs in 1962 really though. |

Agree with this last point, the Goldstar should stage this game. If it was Arsenal or Chelsea I might have been persuadable that it should be switched. Ashton talked about sorting the pitch before they could consider Women's games at PR. I think if they get promoted there are some opponents worthy of a showcase game. |

It would be a huge upset. The WSL sides are a huge step up from the Championship and whilst Town are obviously a very good 3rd tier side it's difficult to judge where they'd finish in the Championship. WSL sides are established professional set ups (with the exception of promoted Leicester who only went fully pro in the summer I think). But it'll be a great day for the club and the longer it goes goalless the more nervous the Hammers will get. I wanted Arsenal, Man C, Chelsea or Coventry (in that order). West Ham probably 5th choice. [Post edited 1 Mar 2022 10:08]

| Forum Reply | Cook vs McKenna calculations at 14:24 23 Feb 2022
9 games, McKenna with 5 home games and Cook 4 i think. So a *slightly* easier run for McKenna, but I do like this like-for-like analysis. My less technical view is this is gonna go all the way. |
