Prefer Hurst to have stayed rather than rather than Lambert
at 21:49 25 Oct 2018

I think it is going to happen, hope I am wrong but last season 19th lowest wage bill. Money talks I am afraid, can't keep selling your best players and expect getting cheaper replacements is going to get you anywhere. If we do manager to say up, then it will continue to get harder each season unless owner invests more. All I am saying is he should have been given bit more time. Club is a shambles, Evan's is to blame.

No I don't believe all the money was spend got in 9m in spend about 5 million. The point is Evan's shouldn't have let waghorn go, there is no ambition. What do people expect, you sell 3 of your best championship players, try and get cheap replacements in. Yes Hurst is partly to blame, now we are going back to an old season manager, that's out of work. Evan's should either invest and get someone to run the club with football knowledge or sell up. Yes important to get behind Lambert and I hope he does well but it's going to be difficult without any leadership and any proper investment from the owner.

Agree, thought Hurst should have had until xmas. Evan's needs to go, club going no where, sell the best players and not given the manager all the funds. Who takes it on got a massive job working under these conditions

I post a similar thread earlier on why so many fans seem to want the Cowleys. Yes they are long ball. No point replacing Mick with the same style of manager. I Don't believe they have enough about them to change their style, not saying they are not good managers but never played or managed at this level. Wasn't long a go they were P.E teachers. I would prefer Hurst or Jones of Luton, young but play passing style of attacking football. Someone posted a piece about Hurst from sky news very impressive. The Dutch guy seems Ok, though in Holland Jaap stam is still highly rated.

If you want Mowbray, it’s worth keeping an eye on Bradford vs Shrews tonight

I Will be watching to see how the Shrews play. Hurst would be my first choice

I agree Hurst, Cook or Jones. I know a Luton fan, they love Jones style, passing and attacking football. If they can play this style in league 2, I Don't think it would take long to adapt to a different style with better players. They also play that way in the academy. Who ever it might be, fans will need to be patient and give the new man time.

Why Cowleys?

Why do a lot of fans what the Cowleys? They play long ball, not exactly going to bring free flowing passing football? No experience at playing or managing at this level. Better young managers with a better style out there. Don't see the point of replacing McCarthy with someone who plays the same type of football?
