I don't do new vinyl so RSD isn't really my cup of tea...living in London, there will be a record fair to visit somewhere every weekend and lots of bargains to be had. As an example of prices, at a fair yesterday from one seller I picked up a 1st press Rubycon by Tangerine Dream from 1975, a 1st press Final Straw by Snow Patrol from 2004 (tenner apiece) and a Crusaders album from 1973 for a fiver - and seller only charged me £20 for the 3. Some of the prices for RSD releases are pretty eye-watering... |

Codheads have nailed it with that statement...the FA and EPL have removed one of the last remaining elements of the FA Cup that made it special; if a lower league club manages a home draw against a Prem side, they deserve another shot, the chance to give their fans a memorable day out, and the financial rewards of gate / TV money from the away match. If they manage an away draw, they've earned the right to give a Prem team the full lower league atmosphere / pitch etc. experience (as well as the financial benefits that go with it)
The fact the decision was made between the FA and EPL alone, and to give a handout of £33m (peanuts to both those organisations) to grassroots football as a pathetic attempt to compensate for the change just highlights the low regard they have for the EFL and Non-League. |

I wouldn't include QPR in that list...they're having a blip after their good run and have been drawn back into the relegation battle, so will probably still be fighting for points in their home match against Leeds.
Much as I hate to say it, with Hull playing away at Watford and Coventry before they play us, and Norwich having 2 matches at home against teams with nothing to play for (and their solid home form) pretty likely Hull will be out of the play-off race by the time we play them; could work both ways...teams that need points tend to be more open and attacking, although as it's Hull's last home game of the season you'd think they'd want to make a game of it anyway. |
