Spot on in every respect. Sheepshanks was an amateur out of his depth, but largely forgiven because he was 'a fan'. Evans has been an unmitigated disaster, and Lambert is on the fast track to becoming our worst manager in history (results wise), but apparently he loves the club. Where will it all end? |

What is McCarthy bleating about? The clue is in the name - UNDER 21! The nonsense is that we can field up to 4 over-age players, which hampers development of those the competition is designed to help.
If he wants genuine reserve football he should get together with other clubs who have the same needs and sort something out. |

I am a Hyam fan, but he has gone backwards in the last half of the season. At this moment it is doubtful whether he is worth another contract. Frankly, I wouldn't keep any of the young players. If Jewell is not going to play them, it is better if they move on. |

I'm sure Norris does want to stay - on his terms. Midfield has been our main problem for a number of years, and certainly since Norris joined. We have never been a real force with him in the team. Time for a new direction, starting with a clear out of most or all of our current midfield.
We need pace, control and creativity, which we dont get from Norris and Leadbitter. Martin is another headless chicken who promises much but delivers very little, and Hyam has not progressed since the start of the season. Civelli is a write-off. Healy and Drury are the only ones I would keep. Midfield is where we need to concentrate funds in the close season, and I don't mean on Bullard. Good as he is, he is too expensive and won't be here in August. We need to look abroad or in the lower leagues for players with a will to win. |
