How can you give credibility to an article you can't even be arsed to fully read? |

"Racist comments, racist views were everywhere. Hundreds of football fans would chant vile racist insults at any poor young black player in an opposition side. Fans wouldn't hesitate to shout racist epithets at their own black player if he made a mistake. " I can literally think of several similar incidents in football within the last 2 years. The only difference is that cowards now have social media to hide behind to shout their vile abuse. It doesn't make it any less racist. So you're wrong. |

If it is one of Hurst's signings, maybe he is just feeling extremely lucky and grateful to still be attached to the club on a decent salary. Or maybe he is taking the sensible option of not blabbing about unrest at the club to a fan. Just too many different things going about now to suggest that everything is tickety-boo, but that is my opinion of course. |

They have done this over here in Sydney NSW and it seems to work well. I haven't come across anybody that is reluctant to provide details or is providing a fake name/number. It allows the pub/restaurant to get in contact with you if you've been in the venue the same day of somebody who has been tested positive, so I am not sure why anybody would have an issue with it. With regards to your questions, there hasn't really been any ques as it's unlikely 50 people are trying to get in at the same time (perhaps excluding Whetherspoons at 9am). "Surely the better option is to ensure if a breakout does occur that the local authorities have the way and means to publish the fact a breakout has occured in a particular pub" - What about that 1 person who doesn't catch wind and continues to go to 10 more venues in the next 2 weeks? |

I apologise then. I have just googled "white privilege". 5 minutes of scrolling through video clips and different articles would give me a solid understanding of what it means. My recommendation for anybody, always, would be to do their own research on something to make sure they full understand it before forming any kind of opinion (not you, these people that you speak of) This may sound very controversial, and many will disagree, but I often feel that there are underlying reasons why people want to get upset with something before full understanding it; maybe it is because understanding it may actually go against their own arguments or even hidden agendas. With regards to your last paragraph, you are absolutely right and the main reason I am extending you an apology is because my reply was a bit bitey. You are right, people should be encouraged to communicate, especially if they don't understand terms. There was a post on here around the term "all lives matter" and why it is construed as counter productive as a reply to "black lives matter". I applaud that poster for having the courage to seek some guidance to understand the terms and slogans he/she is reading about before taking offence to it, and I would urge the angry "white people" referenced in your post to do the same. |

hmmm. I see your point. But if you look at it as just another job that is redundant during a pandemic, I am sure you can find examples of other professions that have taken pay cuts but are expected to maintain the required skills, physical or otherwise, to able to do their job when things go back to normal? |

Surely the difference is that the people continuing to work at home and being paid in full are doing so because they are still able to do the job that they are paid to do. The argument would be that footballers aren't able to do the job they are paid to do from home? |

Easy to suggest when you don't attend games anyway. |

They should have just booted it out it when they had the chance, I wish teams would stop trying to play this tik-tak football |
