Broadhead in Team of the Week
Monday, 7th Aug 2023 19:44

Blues forward Nathan Broadhead has been named in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Week for his display in yesterday's 2-1 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Broadhead gave Town the lead over his former loan club in first-half injury time, then after the break supplied the pass for George Hirst to add the second.

One-time Blues loan keeper Asmir Begovic is also included, despite conceding four goals on his debut for new club QPR.

How did a goalkeeper who conceded 4 goals get in the team of the week?! Surely Hladky would be above him?!

Apparently he played a blinder despite all the goals he conceded. Shows just how bad the team around him are.

Think Town have brought a gem in Broadhead.

It was nice to watch the crowd when Hurst scored. They just sat there, disappointed of course
Compared to Peterbrough fans who spat at player, gave hand gestures, and use foul language just because they let in a goal.

Hats of to the Sunderland fans you have my respect

That team stinks of 'let's just pick one player from each team to keep everyone happy'

I genuinely thought "What the **** is Hutchinson doing at centre-back?" until I realised that they wouldn't use the parent club's badge, and it was the wrong lion anyway.

That team is political correctness at its finest.
Limited reflection of actual performance.

Broady should be playing in the prem and when you see some of those other names in TOTW it shows there is a lot of quality around. Our team spirit and fitness levels could well be key.

Hes such a good player. Has that bit of invention and skill needed to create chances out of nothing.
