Keane Happy With Point
Keane Happy With Point
Sunday, 25th Oct 2009 00:13

Boss Roy Keane was happy to take a point away from Town’s visit to Plymouth having gone behind in the first half. Argyle manager Paul Sturrock says he will consider appealing against Darcy Blake’s red card.

Keane said: “I could have a go at my players for not hitting the target more but Plymouth defended unbelievably well. It's important to recognise that.

“You only have to look at Quinn's chance and the defender running back and clearing off the line.

"I guess when you go one down away from home, particularly with the ball taking ages to come back in when it goes out of play, we have got to be contented with a draw. The encouraging thing for me as a manager is that we are creating chances."

Keane was pleased with the way Jon Stead took his chance when it came: "Steady took his goal well and deserves full credit for getting in that position. He gambled on the backpass, but still had a lot to do and it was a cool finish.

"He has not been involved recently but he scored twice for the reserves in midweek, so he's had a good week.

"It's very frustrating but we'll keep going. We'll take the point and move on."

Elsewhere, a tabloid newspaper claims Keane is looking to add a more experienced coach to his staff to help end the Blues’ winless run. Earlier in the season, when ex-Manchester United coach Brian Kidd was linked with a coaching role the Blues, Keane said he wasn’t planning on any backroom changes.

Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock says he will consider whether to appeal against Darcy Blake’s red card for a two-footed lunge on Alan Quinn: "We will have a look at the video and see if Darcy deserved a straight red card. If not we will lodge an appeal but first we will look at the tape.

"Overall I don't know at this stage whether it was a point gained or two dropped. What I do know is that we played with confidence in the first half and when we were a goal up but once we conceded that confidence seemed to be sucked out of us."

confirmed you are an idiot.

on what basis would you stick by him for getting us relegated?/ Think carefully about what you say next as people are watching and you my friend are making yourself look stupider by each post you make!

By sticking with the manager does not make you a true fan! Wanting your team to do well is what a fan does!

Trust me your a fool

Oh well if you say that i am an idiot, well then i must be, everyone knows on here that you are the voice of reason, and aself appointed voice of the nation.

I do not need to be careful what i say, i am voicing my opinion, and as you are so fond of pointing out, on a daily basis, everyone is allowed their opinion.

I have supported Town probably longer than you have been using bad language.
I will follow them in whatever league they are in, as i have done for all of my life.
I support Ipswich, and by that i support everything about them, owner, manager, players etc.

As i have said if this makes me an idiot in your eyes, well then i would like to think that every TRUE Ipswich supporter is perhaps with me on this, and own up to being an idiot too.
TRUE LOVE makes us idots, in your case i rather think it is genetics!

CGS, the final score against Barnsley, why do you ask, were you not there?
I was, so go away little boy, you are becoming a tiresome nuisance.

not the it wasnt a defeat, i suspect most people on her with half a brain understood that.
No prizes for guessing why you didnt

It safe to say everyone who has the time to comment on here is a tru supporter!

YOu would follow ipswich in league one as would I and again everyone on here, but to say you would still back Keane tells me everything I need to know!

Your of the opinion that thngs are getting better and we will go on this amazing run up the league? I though it was gonna start against swansea NO watford NO and now plymouth NO

Are you Roy Kene?

'in your case it is genetics?? Briging the family into it now, surely if your that much older than me you would refrain from using such older terms as 'your mum'? Whats next?........... I know you are but what am I?????

How many time do I have to say it? Get this fool (Keane)out of our club right now. The amount of damage already done is becoming very frightening and very real and appears to be a never-ending nightmare. I don't care who would replace him because anybody would be better than him. How about Bob the Builder? Can we fix it - YES WE CAN!

injuredanimal, you are quite right CGS is nothing but a Norwich troll.
He has never been to a Town game and does not have a clue.
It shows how poor his interlect is in that he can not have a reasoned debate and resorts to swearing when he knows that he is losing the argument.
In Keano we trust.

I think we are ALL pretty p*ssed off with the current predicament of our beloved club, and whatever your views are I personally think that things cross the line when personal insults come into it.

I suggest a chill pill. And quick!

FormerlyCGS added 14:37 - Oct 25
pickles your still at it with the 'in Keano we trust' I cant actually believe your still like that! Losing the argument? not at all my argument has more valid grounds than you and your mate animals!

Ive never been to a town game?
I support Norwich?

With comments like this, you wander if swearing is as bad as you too girls say it is.

CGS, what route?
Wouldn't win what?
Are we having a competition? If so let me know the rules, I do love a good game!
If i am annoying you, and getting under your skin, i would just like to appologise...
...being of an advanced age, ie not pre-pubescent, i should not pick on you, that is being a bully, if you feel this appology is insincere, perhaps you should "get your dad on me"
