And that it's 45 years since we won the FA Cup, which was our centenary year.
I suppose it makes sense to somebody as a marketing opportunity. | |

Anniversaries have various names, such as gold and platinum, and a 145th anniversary has its very own. It's known as a barrel anniversary, as in "scraping the ....".
But we are not the only club to do it. Grimsby did it recently, and I imagine we got the idea from them, as a way to keep interest alive when there are no games going on, as well as involve some players from the past.
