That’s what happens when pub league players chicken out of a challenge. 99/100 times that doesn’t happen like that in the Championship. Hopefully he’ll be back soon. He’s got 1.5 weeks headstart on his recovery.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Winded? Seemed to land on his back mostly ?

Wishful thinking there I think Arnie.

We'll obviously have to wait and see but disclocation/some sort of break seems most likely atm.

Edit: My wishful thinking is that it is a possible dislocation/break and they took Wes off as a precaution.

Or just a Hell of a landing and a lot of impact pain..

Being a pointless friendly they might have just taken him off to check it out.

Waka waka eh eh

1- His arm is hanging normally in the shot at the end, which is encouraging

2- High time refs learned to recognise challenges where a player makes an obstruction or back for a jumping player, without any intention of competing for the ball. Dangerous and should be spotted and carded far more often than it is.

Yes … just seen the pic. It’s his blooming shoulder isn’t it. Fingers crossed it’s not too serious . I hate these ridiculous friendlies.

Me too Arnie. Will Welsh FA be picking up his salary while he’s out? Doubt it. If they had to, perhaps countries would take less interest in pointless friendlies against pub teams.

The fact he had his arm temporarily slung when he came off made me think it could be a subluxation of the shoulder - a partial dislocation that doesn’t require resetting the joint. Earlier in the year it took me a couple of months to get over one of these from playing football. Rest up Wes.
