Yes, it's a crucial period coming up. In fact all the way to the New Year we're playing promotion rivals and what look like being top-ten teams by the time we play them.
It's pretty crucial for our season to keep that distance (and probably up our game to do so) or we could end up in the dog-fight for promotion.
I think we're certainly capable of doing that but need to see that ability put into the performances more consistently IMO. |  |

And it doesn't get a whole lot easier after that ... not until we play Accrington and Tranmere in the middle of January.
On the plus side, the run-in should be a fair bit easier but would be good not to have to make up ground by then. | |

Theoretically though we should still be winning the majority of these sorts of games, as opposed to the Championship where it's become unlikely we'll win against the better teams. You'd like to think that our squad depth will kick in during the second half of the season when injuries and suspensions should hit the other teams more than us, but we need to stop the squad rotation in league games and put out our strongest side. | |

Lose them both and we'll be 2nd at best. I am still not convinced us missing games every international break will be beneficial come the end of the season, we seem to be breaking up momentum and coming back on the back foot every time. I'd rather we played with a couple missing than this. Let's be honest if the players we have can't cope with this league, they'll be totally useless for us in the Championship. |  | | |

Bit worried about Wycombe, tbh - thought they might have dropped back a bit by now, but they just keep on winning.
