The club have not gained anything from losing the Bury game. Quite the opposite. They are going to lose out on 5000+ walk up customers, food and drink sales, programme sales etc etc. They'll save a small amount on not needing ground staff but overall they will take a hit.
We bought season tickets. A ticket to every home league game this season. That is still what we have. |  |

I find it a little odd that, in the aftermath of a club failing due to spending beyond its means (and another nearly doing so), fans are so worried about losing out on a - purely notional - £15 that they are demanding some sort of compensation. From Ipswich Town, who had nothing to do with events and will themselves be losing matchday income.

I don't think they'd be allowed to even if they wanted to, the EFL and Spurs will presumably both also be due a cut of the gate money as per other cup competitions. |  | | |
