I'm travelling to London tomorrow with 10 Norwegian work mates. Ages range from about 30 to 52 and we're staying in Waterloo. As I haven't lived in London for a number of years, I'm not sure where to take them. Any recommendations for decent pubs who will welcome a group of 10 blokes? Somewhere open late would be great as we don't arrive at the hotel until around 20.30. |  |

The Kings Arms in Roupell St is very good for beer, by the time you get there the afterwork rush will have calmed down a bit.

There are two at the entrance to the market, just normal pubs, nothing gastro about them. One's called the Wheatsheaf and is very good, the other I can't remember the name of. *Hic*. But both should still be open, with the office workers safely back in Surrey. [Post edited 1 Nov 2018 12:03]

Ah, that's the fella- cheers. Come to think of it, noggin, I would recommend this one rather than the Wheatsheaf as it's bigger and more likely to accommodate such a big group. | |
