London Friday evening pubbing 11:43 - Nov 1 with 1453 viewsnoggin

I'm travelling to London tomorrow with 10 Norwegian work mates. Ages range from about 30 to 52 and we're staying in Waterloo. As I haven't lived in London for a number of years, I'm not sure where to take them. Any recommendations for decent pubs who will welcome a group of 10 blokes? Somewhere open late would be great as we don't arrive at the hotel until around 20.30.

Head up Borough Rd towards London Bridge & end up in Borough Market.

The Kings Arms in Roupell St is very good for beer, by the time you get there the afterwork rush will have calmed down a bit.

Not sure what you're looking for after 11, the vodka bar at Baltic is not far away if they'll let ten of you in.

That was my first thought. What time do the pubs close around Borough Market?

I'd imagine on a Friday evening you'll have no issue finding something around there open past 11.

Cheers. I think a regular pub with a late license would be preferable to a vodka bar. 01.00 would be late enough.

There are two at the entrance to the market, just normal pubs, nothing gastro about them. One's called the Wheatsheaf and is very good, the other I can't remember the name of. *Hic*. But both should still be open, with the office workers safely back in Surrey.

The Barrow boy and banker on London Bridge is good, or the old thamesside inn on the bank of the thames just round the corner.

The Market Porter.

Ah, that's the fella- cheers. Come to think of it, noggin, I would recommend this one rather than the Wheatsheaf as it's bigger and more likely to accommodate such a big group.

I have used The Kings Arms a couple of times when visiting family, they use it regularly. Decent pub with a good selection of beer.
