PH is absolutely right in his post match interview. That’s one win, but we need more, probably 10 more in the 34 games - one win in three, absolute minimum.

So pleased for Hurst and the team today. Andy Legg on BBC Suffolk seemed to be suggesting that, going forward, our midfield and attack were linking up well, which is where our problem has been until now. If so, that’s great news.

But the next five games are critical. As well as Leeds, we play QPR, Millwall, Preston and Reading, four teams who are in and around us and who we have to take decent points from. There’s no point winning today if we do a Hull/Rotherham. If we don’t take 7/8 points from those four games, we will be back where we started.

You know what else I’d like to see? If it is correct that Hurst is going to get more time, I’d like Chambers to come out and do an interview putting to bed some of the rumours which have been going about, telling us all that the players are fully behind Hurst and his team, that they believe they have it in them to win the 10-15 games needed to keep us in this division.

Midfield and forwards linking well, I’m guessing much of that is down to a young Doz being in there? Didn’t see the game, hence the guess.
If he was down to him it’s clear to see the kid is special, very clever on and off the ball

We’ll be good again... one day

Not sure. I wasn’t there, but heard from a few who were that he was fairly quiet after a really impressive first 10 mins.

Sounds like Sears, Ward and Edwards all did well though.

You only have to look at the result today to see the players are behind Hurst. Plus those morons who hate Hurst and want him out wouldn't believe Chambers if he did.

Are there really that many people who hate Hurst? He hasn’t been here long enough to develop hatred for the man.

There’s a lot of people concerned with reports of falling out with backroom staff and senior players, coupled with poor results, no signs of improvement or any kind of system - all of which have prompte some to wonder whether Hurstbis “the man”. But that’s all I’ve seen.

‘Morons who want Hurst out’! Really! I don’t think it’s moronic to suggest that the manager should go if the team hasn’t won in 12 games, consistently has 3 or 4 changes each game and shows little sign of progression.

You may not agree, but I th8nk they have a fair case! I for one really want him to succeed and am well chuffed with today’s result. But I don’t think he’s done enough so far and had they not won today would have be completely understanding had he been sacked. Let’s see if this can be the start of better things - I really hope so.

Hurst's interview was excellent, period.

He's no fool (as literally 10s of people on this board had started to judge him as)

I'm really pleased for his as well, you could tell he was completely drained form that experience.

Legg seemed to suggest we finally settled into a more solid shape as a TEAM, 30mins in. And that was crucial.

Today will be a complete waste of energy and emotion if we don't beat QPR and Millwall, its a big ask and I have big concerns over left back currently... and Hurst's preference for Pennington over Donacien - which is just wrong.

But the main thing we all need to keep in mind is that the likes of Swansea have squads 4/5 times more expensive than ours... we will only progress by players of a lower ability believing themselves and the managers system. The negativity - whilst I understand it - was just too premature and may have destroyed a project that had barely started.

But to your point - 7 points minimum from those games. Or the project stalls again.

A lot of the concern in recent weeks was justified. A defeat today and Hurst’s future would have rightly been in question.

The win today is great - but if we don’t build on it, the questions will rightly be asked again. So far, we have one win from 12 - from now on we need a win every 3 games. For Hurst’s (and the club’s) sake this needs to be the beginning of a run.

I suspect Pennington may have a clause in his loan contract stating he's got to play a certain amount of games or something because I can't see why Donacien the specialist RB who hasn't put a foot wrong so far is left out.
