Wouldn't be surprised if we've paid something like £100,000 plus agreed to cover his wages. It wouldn't have been much as I can't see Hurst making him his first signing before we knew Webster and Knight were going and spending what would have been a large chunk of the budget.

I can't see Hurst, who spends it like it's his own money, spending £500k on a teenager for a season, when that almost buys you an Edwards or Harrison. I wouldn't see him even doing that with the Waghorn money, let alone as his first move in the transfer market when we were £4.5m worse off than when we signed Edwards and Harrison. Surely it has to be lower. Can't imagine it was any more than £250k absolute maximum as a flat fee. £8k a week over the season plus the loan fee probably does come out at £600k including wages. Easily over £500k when you factor in both wages and a likely fee for the loan.

So do you agree that fee and wages likely come out around £600k? It's not that big a chunk of the budget - playing budget in recent years is around £18m so it's about 1/30th of the playing budget

Yeah. I started off replying to the £500k def info and ended up agreeing with you. £400k wages and £200k loan fee sounds about right.
