My brother in law was in a similar predicament a couple of years ago, induced coma as a result of viral pneumonia, thankfully he recovered and is fine now.

He wrote down his experiences whilst he was in hospital, the care was good but for a while life became a montage of reality and hallucination and he never knew which was which. There was some weird sht going on in his head, involving Mumbai, steam trains to christmas markets in Germany and attempts to escape the hospital, the last one being real.

I hope Mr Bacon has a better time of it and makes a good recovery.
