Mustard debate 10:47 - May 4 with 8184 views | Bluefish | This has always caused me troubles due to the colour and the Norfolk connections. I love mustard and tried lots of alternatives to colmans but they were all rubbish. I now happy that I can openly buy colmans but whatbisbit acceptable to have mustard with? I have it with breakfast on bacon, sausages or eggs and my colleagues think this is odd. What are your thoughts?

I personal favourite is ham, mushrooms, red onion, mustard & Parmesan cheese. [Post edited 4 May 2018 14:51]

What about mustard powder in cheese twists etc? Not sure they're strictly a breakfast item but lets face it, when most people eat sugary cereals or pop tarts etc the bar isn't high.

I have a chilli wholegrain mustard but don’t turn to it so often. I think I might have hot dogs tonight now.

Basically all mustard is great. I don't use the grainy stuff as a condiment but even that has its uses in dressings and marinades. Thinking about it, I fooking love mustard. I love it as much as I love cheese and beer. I could eat mustard on its own. MUSTARD MUSTARD MUSTARD MUSTARD

Mustard, Cheese and Beer. That's the holy trinity right there. In fact, thrown in a Preztel and I could life of that every day. Man, I wish those Germans had been the good guys in WW2, as I wouldn't mind being German now. I mean, say what you like about Hitler, but he did kill Hitler...

A hefty spoonful of wholegrain in your cheese sauce is, well, mustard.

I have them all except American. Wholegrain goes in my mash but I struggle to find a use for the dijon. Any recommendations?

Use Dijon in the mash instead of wholegrain, and olive oil instead of butter. It sounds poncy but trust me.
