I'm always slightly baffled why the tinfoil hat brigade are always so keen to support the authoritarian Russian government in discussion here. If anyone's going to be reading your emails or beaming rays into your brain, it's definitely them.

I’m already curious about the next election. Will he do a Xi Jinping and do away with term limits or who will he appoint as caretaker/puppet for the following term.

Same as last time, swap places with Dmitry Medvedev for a term.

Very likely

It just wouldn’t surprise me if he made an attempt in this coming term to change the Russian constitution. I think he probably knows he can never lose grip on power if he wants to steer clear of The Hague. Although that said, the most difficult thing would be proving anything, but that said there is lots to go at.

Gutter politics.

You said the other day that this was just a joke doing the rounds, but it wasn't really funny then and it isn't really funny now. You hold everyone else on here to such a high moral standard- dictating what's fair game and what isn't- so maybe you should also show a bit of restraint in making light of some pretty serious situations and insinuations.

Or is it just a joke from you this time, when other people's jokes aren't funny in the slightest on your 'serious' threads?

Would it have been the Sunday Paper with this article, that I heard discussed on Radio 4 this morning.

Diversions away from Boris Johnson admiting he'd played tennis with the wife of one of Putins crew for £160k.
& probably doesn;t want anyone to work out how close the Home Secretary's family is to Russian billionaires.

& that is just the tip of the ice berg

Foreign Secretary & Home Secretary much closer to the Russians than any on in opposition parties ever will be - but that isn't important in the minutely brained
