The section on the Hurst appointment really hammers home just how damaged the team was as we came out of that summer. Hurst telling Bart & Knudsen on return from the World cup "'you haven't done anything for me yet" (bonkers) and Skuse namedropping the losses of Webster/Garner/Waghorn/Diddsy that summer - think he has chosen his words pretty carefully with regards to his true feelings.....

He mentions that Hurst didn't speak to any of the senior players in summer, sold all those lot, alienated Knudsen and Bart etc....and we'd just come 12th in the Championship
