That was my thinking but the occasional glimpse at the forum has spoilers all over it.
I watched the first half until 8.00 so caught the Rice goal.
Kanes penalty was in an advert break.
The second half has been me shouting obscenities at the TV.
Not very enjoyable as it was stop-start football interupted by complaining and arguing. | |

I do like sausages.
I make a mean sausage casserole thanks to a bottomless catering pack of sausage casserole mix. The mix has passed it's use-by date but it still tastes yummy.
The TV prog is about cars that I would have liked to have owned when I was in my 20's if only I'd had the cash. I can afford them now (just) but have no garage to store and maintain them. A Citroen DS4 (right-hand drive) would be the to-die-for car if I could find one about £5000.
They featured a Vauxhall Cresta estate tonight. Bench seats, so column shift. 3 across the seats in the front and back. There was so much chrome.

Shame the cars in those days were a pile of junk. Especially Vauxhalls that rotted out in no time. Interesting looking though as were a lot of cars of that period.
I actually really like Bangers & Cash and if I had the space, I’d probably own one. Quite what, I don’t know. I always wanted a Ford Capri 2.8i, but never had one. That or a Triumph Stag. I know they were absolute rubbish (overheating engines, terrible electrics, awful build quality) but they just looked the business.

Hard to disagree with any of this.
Bangers and Cash is a great fall back when there's not much else on although I think they made Sarah redundant during Covid which has diminished the show somewhat.
I've always wanted a Corvette Stingray but they're totally stupid and burn through carbon faster than China does. If I had silly money and could find one with a knackered power unit, I'd have it restored, brakes uprated and converted to electric (with the soundtrack of the original available of course).
A Mk1 Capri would perhaps be the fallback - I loved my Mk2 until it fell apart! [Post edited 24 Mar 2023 8:42]

My mate had a couple of Mk1 Capris. At the time I had an Escort Mk1. It was better than the Capri. Faster and handled far better - but I preferred his car really. It looked great and still does.
