In the early 90s she very kindly agreed to pay income tax - obviously it’s all undisclosed how much the they actually pay.

Nothing against the them - I’m sure most of them are quite nice people - but the concept of royalty is old fashioned and should have no place in a modern society.

The whole jubilee celebrations have really cemented my feelings for how old fashioned, unfit and tone deaf it is in modern society.

I have a lot of admiration for certain royals. Especially Her Majesty. She never asked to be born into obscene wealth and privilege and have no concept of a normal life, but I think she's performed that role as dignified and classy as anybody could have and I think she's a tremendous woman.

I also understand the money the royals generate, how loved they are across the globe, the visitors they bring in and the economic impact as well.

It's also not their fault society is crumbling because of the acts of the Tories and that people cannot afford to heat their homes or feed their families.

It's just a really unfortunate time for the jubilee to fall. It's hard to watch tens of millions of pounds be spent celebrating somebody with untold wealth, surrounding others born into obscene wealth and feel anything other than regret that any modern society could have such inequality.

At least, unlike some of the billionaires that have got to where there are through questionable means, there are things to admire about the royals, even if the more I find out the more questions I have to ask about the institution itself.

I am no royalist but sharing an unqualified tweet like that is right out of the Tommy Robinson playbook of misinformation.

There are some pure cringe moments like Prince William suggesting a free pint for men going to the doctor that just expose how completely out of touch they are.

Truly impaired.

I'd not heard that one.

I'd say 5-10 years ago I was really impressed with William and he seemed to be a kind of welcome bridge to a small degree between their world and ours but as time passes, he seems to have become further and further out of touch in that respect.

Harry is the one I have the most time for and I'm guessing you can't class him. From some early, poor decisions he's actually seemingly developed into a nice guy that wants a relatively normal life with the woman he loves, isn't prepared to stand for abuse and does a lot of charity work you can now see is simply because he cares not because he has too.

Not a fan of the whole Netflix clamour thing but can't pretend I know enough there to offer any kind of insight as to what I'd be doing different, if anything, in his shoes.

As a republican and socialist, you can fck right off with that comment

Unqualified, you say? Perhaps you should investigate further before making your own unqualified statements.

Abolish the monarchy and abolish the House of Lords.

The HOL is the only remaining balance on the power of Boris and his minions.

It is essential.

What it should not have, is hereditary peers, politically selected peers (unless a way of keeping it even can be found), or clergy.

End of the day, he's still got to make a living and they're willing to pay. It's more honest than getting money from the government because your nan wears a funny hat.

“Harry is the one I have the most time for”. He certainly seems like the least worst of a bad bunch. There’s something about his Mrs that the right wing don’t like though. I can’t quite understand why though…
