Whatmough we enquired about but not sure anything came from it, or he was already set on Wigan.

I know the deal that Pompey offered him was absolutely comical, but it was also subject to another medical which may suggest some underlying injury he has. Considering he was attracting interest from Championship clubs and Scotland, would imagine more to the story with Whatmough.

Brannagan would be an outstanding signing.
