I wonder how many games missed due to suspension during that time - surely will have picked up oodles of yellows, so could be getting on for 100 missed games due to suspension - but even so he could still easily get to 1,000 senior career games with another 2 decent seasons. |  | | |

Just looked up his discipline record of the back of that. It is actually impressive that he hasn't had a red for the national team given he has received a record 24 yellow cards.
He may have missed a game or two via that.
