All part of the fun Saying that, I only agreed to sponsor my lad’s team kit if I got to chose the design

Yes, I suggested such in my original post but legend has it that the ‘winning’ kit was decided upon before the votes came in.

Or when they didn’t do it they ended up with the all time worst kit ever, being the swim suit effort in the 90’s. My cousin actually won the competition but was to have been with plain white shorts. The design company took it on and put the weird shorts with the blue swish in them with it instead which spoilt it a bit.

Your Club. Your Kit. on 21:49 - Jan 26 with 4621 views | clive_baker | I think I'm right in saying we were the first club to do this, back in the 90's. Unfortunately our fans showed as much taste as they do sense on TWTD and we ended up with some real guff.

If I remember correctly the kit we ended up with was nothing like the one fans selected. The position of the badge was moved ab$ the shorts changed from blue to white. Would have thought after Brexit and Boris the last thing anyone would want is to let the great unwashed choose our kit.

I thought the kit the fans decided was the one we won the play-offs in which was a great looking kit. Originally it was all-blue but after pressure the club matched the shirt with white shorts. That’s how I remember it.
Your Club. Your Kit. on 23:30 - Jan 26 with 4441 views | hector_clifford | I think we should boycott this modern trend of changing every season, and keep the one we have for another season. It's a great home kit especially, and would be a nice gesture from the club to the fans and a good message to the football world that money isn't everything

Your Club. Your Kit. on 23:35 - Jan 26 with 4431 views | The_Last_Baron | I'll take option 2 for the Darlington kit vote. None are particularly great which is why it would be a bad idea for Town to go down this road again. We did it twice in the late 90s and early 2000s and most designs on offer weren't great.

The 1999 to 2001 kit was chosen by the fans and you're right, the shorts were originally blue. It was a nice kit with the modifications they made. I remember John Kennedy modelled one of the choices, a white sleeves number which he looked embarrassed to be wearing.

This is exactly why fans shouldn't get a say and half an hour reading this board should cement this fact. Option 1 all day long.

Capitalism or Commercialism? A fine line maybe. What always tickles me is people who wear mass produced "F*ck capatilism" tee shirts.

You mean these Premier League clubs don’t really need a 4th choice kit, as many now have as well as a 3rd choice that is seldom even needed?
| |
Your Club. Your Kit. on 10:22 - Jan 27 with 4055 views | monytowbray | We used to do that in the early to mid 00s and we ended up with some of the dullest kits in our history. You won't find Copa remaking anything we wore from 2002-2010 in twenty years time.
