Their goal was never to win seats Romford, sorry to say it. If the exit polls are to be believed then they achieved their goal. Dividing the Labour vote was always their modus operandi.

Their goal was to win seats until they realised they weren’t going to, then Nige waved the white flag so he could use the explanation you’ve given and still claim a victory despite apparently disagreeing absolutely with Boris and his deal.

The impression I get from Nige is he is more a a gina miller, someone who wants to influence parliament without actually being part of it. When he left UKIP, he did so as it was seemingly mission accomplished for him, I don't have any doubts his Brexit Party resignation will be forthcoming, that is if Tories get the majority the EP suggests.

Nige and Boris. 30 years ago they would have both been booted out for serial lie telling. Disgraceful

He’s tried to be elected to parliament 7 times.

He would like nothing more than to be properly accepted but knows he will never be elected so is now hoping for a back door entry to the HoL.

Why would he resign when in his view BJ’s deal isn’t Brexit at all?

I have a feeling that view of BJ's Brexit may somehow change over the coming days.

Looks like you’re spot on, watching his interview now.

It’s almost as if he’s led his supporters completely up the garden path.
