QPR end Judge interest... 10:44 - Jul 26 with 3650 viewsKieran_Knows

... according to Sky Sports. Town want £750k, QPR won't pay that.

QPR END JUDGE CHASE?

QPR's pursuit of Republic of Ireland winger Alan Judge looks to be over.

Rangers made a second bid of £450,000 but Ipswich want £750,000 for the 30-year-old, who signed a two-year contract in January.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

I wonder if we get a £500k offer plus a player type bid now?

Good. Hopefully the end of that then.

I really really do hope this is the case.. If the figures are actually correct £750,000 is still peanuts imo

No doubt some league one club will now bid £300k for one of the fringe players they want rid of and they'll pay it on transfer deadline day.

Truly impaired.

That could be the answer of course.

Much as I want Judge to stay, if he wants to go I can’t see the point in trying to get him to stay.

In our favour at least he knows he will be playing for us whereas at QPR he could be warming the bench. Also, how long before QPR sack the manager?

He’s just signed a new contract with us and made a commitment. QPR can’t afford him and we move on. We can’t give him away just because he’d prefer to be there. Understandable considering the circumstances but If they don’t stump up the cash that’s brilliant news for Ipswich and us.

Exactly this. Get on with what your paid to do and was happy to do only a few months ago. Expect him starting against Cambridge Saturday as he broke his wrist 7 weeks ago now.

£750,000 is absolute peanuts for a player of Judge's ability.

Time to knuckle down, absolutely convinced that he is the type of player that when he pulls on the shirt he will give 110% for the club and badge.

That's all you can really ask.

So will people like him again?

He was wearing the badge when Lambert told people he wants to talk to QPR and many people spat the dummy out.

Not sure anyone disliked him and was a natural reaction to possibly losing one of our better players. I'm sure 99% of the supporters want him here and firing next season.

No ill feeling against Judge either way as he has to put himself first which is only natural as possibly entering into his last couple of contracts. QPR came calling to him as and far as I can make out he has been decent about the whole thing and expect him to give his all to ITFC if he is still here in a couple of weeks.

Good - even £750k is SFA in reality.

Their figures may offer his value as a 31 year old who hasn't played regularly for a while and not rediscovered best form but it just isn't worth selling at that for us

Fickle supporters. There are very very few players who can say they have been loyal to a badge in modern football. We all know money talks. Loyalty in football has gone. As much as it’s all our fantasy to believe that everyone who pulls on the shirt will have the same dedication as us that in reality doesn’t exist period. Only perhaps at the very top of the game where there is no where else to progress could you say a player is truly loyal.
You think if Liverpool offered Chambo 50k a week he’d still be our captain! Won’t happen but proves the theory.

For everyone saying that it is too cheap for a player like a Judge - you do realize we picked up exactly that player 6 months ago for nothing - and in that time he didn’t score and got relegated

Also about 24 month ago we picked up an even better player for 250k that we then sold for 5 million last summer

So! Doesn’t mean he isn’t worth more than £750,000 to us does it.

Clubs aren't loyal to players so players aren't loyal to clubs - it's a dog eat dog world and fans shouldn't criticise players because they don't know the half of what goes on behind the scenes.

Had Judge got injured in April would we have offered him a deal - course not

It's all because of these fcuking agents, all desperate for their players to make a move for their greedy percentage..

Would we get a player like Judge, given his quality and experience for £750k?

1.No.
2. Even if we could we wouldn't pay it.
