When I was a boy, Gordon Banks was the reason I wanted to be a goalie. Was in awe of him when he played against us. A very decent person by all accounts. RIP.
We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub.

Very sad... back in his day the England keeper always wore a gold shirt... was iconic and he filled it with admirably. I think the catchphrase of the time was Safe as the Banks of England True legend

Legend and true hero
I have never, and never will, tire of that footage. Everything is perfect fro, the full backs pass, to the save, to the ball, the setting, and the kits! Iconic is an overused term, but fitting for that moment.
