Isn't the human body a wonderful piece of natural engineering? 10:03 - Sep 20 with 1122 viewsartsbossbeard

I've just had an appointment with a foot specialist following a recent diagnosis of osteoarthritis in a toe joint.

Turns out that the body knows that there's an issue and as a defence mechanism, it actually self generates additional bone growth around the joint to protect it. Whilst this hasn't had the effect that was hoped for by my body thus giving me immense pain and joint stiffness from time to time, the science behind it is actually quite wonderful.

More bone pain news as it happens.

"No, but I've seen you play"
