Fulham into second place on 09:14 - Apr 28 with 2370 views | m14_blue | Can certainly see Cardiff dropping points at Hull today. Fulham have a tricky looking game at Birmingham on the last day but I fancy them to edge it. I think they're the second best team in the league and deserve to go up too.
Fulham into second place on 09:19 - Apr 28 with 2362 views | christiand | Still Cardiff's to lose. Win both their remaining league games against Hull City (today) and then Reading they are up. Personally, would like to see Fulham promoted they have played some great stuff at times this season. [Post edited 28 Apr 2018 9:28]

Fulham into second place on 10:05 - Apr 28 with 2303 views | Pinewoodblue | At least, with Fulham winning, it means that next weekend Sky will concentrate on the fight for the last automatic promotion place rather than the fight for a play off place. If Boro don't win today it will be a must win game for them at Portman Road.

Beat Bolton at home and Barnsley lose to Brentford, they could be out of the relegation places by the end of this afternoon. Then if all three lose next Saturday, Burton have survived.

I hope so, their fans were lovely to talk to and really love their football, much more amiable than the Yeoville lot were.

So you have Ipswich to lose both matches yet Reading only to gain one more point...

With their home record I reckon the Bolton game will be a draw. Be nice to see them survive, as always a nice day out and reasonably close compared to Bolton. Always a twist at the end, so Burton surviving could be it. Still think Cardiff will make it. Despite Hull's current form, Cardiff had their wobble on Tuesday. Were looking comfortable first half until a couple of individual errors in the second. If Fulham nick it, they can thank Jordan Spence!

It's a mechanical process based on form, not an elaborate piece of guesswork. There will be anomalies, especially at this stage of the season when there are very few matches left. [Post edited 28 Apr 2018 10:45]

That sounds logical enough... until you see that Barnsley are away to Derby next week. I cannot imagine Derby, the greatest bottlers of the championship era, beating anybody in a must-win game on the last day of the season, let alone a team who will probably need 3 pts themselves to survive. Or maybe that's just my wishful thinking!

That final day is likely to see some very nervous matches where any result is possible. The pressure in those circumstances does odd things. Would be nice to see Derby bottle it again and either Barnsley or (even better) Burton survive. Again, would like to see Fulham go up in preference to Cardiff. Cardiff v Millwall in the play-offs would be a nightmare! Then again, if Fulham stay down it is amusing each time they play nodge.
