Decent stats for a player that has had such an injury blighted season.
Hoping he can have a really good pre-season, get himself fit and he really should be looking to nail down a first team place in our midfield next season IMO.
Out of contract in 2018, if he starts the season well then hope the club are looking to tie him down to a longer contract ASAP. |  |

Average at best is still better than Douglas though no?
And there's improvement in Bishop (he's 20ish), there's no improvement in Douglas - in fact the opposite is true.
I just find it strange that McGoldrick's given 10+ matches to get in his "pomp", whilst Bishop gets dropped after victories. Both players when fit and in form are equally important. | | | |

Will all come down to injuries I guess, it takes a while to get over some injuries and he seems to have had one thing after another this season.
Often one injury will lead on to another, and he has been out for so long that when he has been put into the first team he has hardly been match fit so its harsh to judge him on what we have seen this season IMO. Hence why I think those stats are fairly decent.
The talent is definitely still there, Bish just needs to stay injury free and get his head down in pre-season and I think he could be a decent player for us next season.

In Teddy Bishop's last game away to Rotherham, it was genuinely one of the worst performances I've seen from a player this season. He kept losing the ball and was very weak.

Against brentford he was booked, taken off at half time and been poor and his replacement came on and scored a hat trick - not sure that is a particularly harsh dropping
Against Sheffield Wedensday we looked better by all accounts and scored the winner after he went off
Against Wolves he was only in to give Ward a rest by looks of things.
And at Rotherham at end of season, he was outperformed by Dozzell who got ahead of him and on bench for Sheff Weds game.
He's in real danger of falling behind Benyu in pecking order too, he needs a big pre season and to make that narrow right midfield role his own as I think that suits him in a 3 |  |

Quite possibly, it does seem to happen with Bishop and McGoldrick a lot.
That said, it can't be that bad considering the likes of Chambers and Berra have hardly missed a minute all season. So in terms of strength and conditioning (and the like) we must be half decent at it. | |
