Please for the love of god will people stop... 01:27 - May 21 with 10443 viewslizzibee

Just back from Dussleford to see endless threads and macabre posts about how McKenna has gone!

He hasn't! He is still employed by Ipswich and there is nothing at the club to suggest to the contrary.

A few lazy journalist posts, a couple of twitter ITK posts and beating odds which are just to make money and every one is all doom and gloom as though people can't make their own minds up just follow the crowd. Even the Brightn fans think we are an odd bunch. We sound like a bunch of kids

No, I don't see him going - not this year.

Did he look like a man wanting to leave when we beat Huddersfield (or the games leading up) no. He has invested in the club, chosen the players, helped design the new Playford Road etc - and this was even before we got promoted. Nothing will have changed.

If he didn't have the backing of the CEO or investors, yes, maybe time to worry, but that clearly is't the case.

His family are settled in the area and the kids at school/.

Fans worship him and him back.

Players totally respect him

So why is everyone heated? He isn't a man looking for out - he is a man starting a journey and that I am sure is still with us for a while.

Man U and Chelsea wont touch him - he's untested in this league and in fairness the league below and management. - too risky at the moment. As for Brighton -there is nothing much to worry about - its where the club want to be so why would he not do th at journey with us. People go this worried about Palace. He has just over two years in management - he's done amazing but is untested and still raw...

Our fans like for nothing but to moan, panic and think the worst.

As Ashton said, if it hasn't come from the club don't believe it. And no, we don't need the club to come out with a Statement.

God, if I was McKenna and reading all these posts (plus other social media) I'd be thinking the fans don't really care as they are already sorting my replacement. And I'd bet he and the players do read all this.

Can we all just grow up, stop believing social medial messages and actually listen to the club? And go back and watch all the interviews and see all the clip and ask yourself if this is a man who wants out, and cut his journey short?

Not a fan of threads like this.

It’s post season, there’s no football on to talk about and no transfers to discuss. It’s an Ipswich forum and the Ipswich manager is linked to three teams, two of which heavily with ITK posters and even Phil confirming he’s heard it’s a strong possibility.

And yet you think you’ve some sort of right to moan that there’s talk about it? What actually do you think we should be talking about on an Ipswich forum if the Ipswich manager potentially going isn’t one of them?

I can only assume you dont go to the games but follow social medial
As for what to talk about - not much until retained list, fixture list and signings - maybe a life and worry about something else

To be fair, Phil posted he was hearing more and more noise that he was off. Or words to that affect.

TBF.... I don't see people going crazy howling their eyes out. Just a big debate whether he'll stay or go .... and using arguments for and against. Sounds reasonable.

I find it more weird that some want to bury this news.... like it doesn't exist. Its been reported in daily newspapers... Talksport... etc.....its big national sports news ... why would we ignore that?

Show us where Phil said anywhere in his presser that "he was hearing more and more noise that he was off", or any words to that effect.

That's how situations get blown out of all proportion, because he's said nothing like that.

He's said there's increased speculation. At this stage, that's all it is.

It would be a bit weird if we weren't talking about it wouldn't it? It seems that there really is a chance KM will go this time, as confirmed by Phil, and people are understandably worried about it and wanting to discuss the possibilities. Whilst I love the optimism of your post it does feel a bit like you're putting your head in the sand here and asking us to do the same.

I can’t tell if you’re serious. Telling people to think for themselves on a thread you’ve started to tell people what to think.

You are just the other side of the same panicky coin. Except you are worried that if every poster on TWTD isn't sending positive vibes then it will make Kieran hate us.

Watch his interviews. Does he seem like the kind of man who would make this decision based on emotional responses on an internet forum? If he were, he wouldn't be in football management at all, and would be using his undoubted organisational and analytical skills in the corporate sector in relative anonymity.

Nothing has been announced yet, but Phil has confirmed that the link is a genuine one. It may be that KM's agent is talking to Brighton. It may be that KM himself is. It may be that he has had an initial discussion and is thinking about it. It may be that he has decided to leave and it will be announced today.

We will find out relatively soon.

Until then it is not surprising that the same fans who have had an incredible outpouring of emotion in recent weeks are then emotional about the very real possibility that the architect of the wins and style of football that led to that outpouring of emotion, will leave.

Football is an outlet for emotion. Kieran McKenna understands that. He has just witnessed the power of that emotion first hand. But he will make a calm and measured decision that he thinks is best for his career, and for his family.

And it won't be based primarily on whether a "FFS! Nooooo!!!!!" thread becomes a five-pager.

he's going nowhere - end of story ... blimey cant people use their judgement a bit more ? no way he's going anywhere next season - end of conversation - if we get relegated next year i suspect he may consider it and if we have 2 or 3 decent years in the prem he may consider it - but other than that - nothing to see here

To be fair, I think most of this hysteria has been driven by Phil's comments on a thread last night.

I think you’re the one who needs to relax. He posted in a thread about it - hence the shift in tone last night. You’re extremely aggressive.

I am relaxed and that wasn't an aggressive post, just fed up with this McK situation being blown out of all proportion when nobody has said anything public yet. It's all speculation right now.

If it happens, it happens. Right now the press and the bookies are having a field day, but there's no "def info", is there? Until there is I'm more chilled about it than most.

They can moan about what they like, just as others can post threads losing their heads over McKenna going. Wouldn't the forum be rather a dull place if everybody just agreed with each other all the time?

i expect Phil is sitiing some where rubbing his hands together with £ signs in his eyes.

He's got the masses frothing with his very brief thoughts

You naughty scamp Phil.

Yes there is something in it because he will have had talks with Brighton. Does it mean its likely that he'll go...Not for me and i think everyone should relax. Phil has been wrong before and will be again. He's given us his opinion, not what he knows. that is the sublte difference
