Hirst being back is massive for the way we play 11:40 - Apr 28 with 753 viewsle2blue

What a performance from him last night, really showed what we have been missing. At times he was unplayable last night, his movement, hold-up play and pace changed the whole dynamic of our forward play. It's brilliant to see him starting and it is a big big plus for the next two games.

He will be licking his lips to go up against Bobby Thomas on Tuesday, who was one of the centre backs at Barnsley that he ran past and then cut back and slotted that wonderful goal last season. I fancy him to get a breakaway goal on Tuesday night against a Coventry team which is out on its feet and will have a makeshift centre-back pairing.

Big pitch at Coventry, should be ideal for Wes to exploit and get fully up to speed on his return. If he is fit, I would personally bring Broady back in and move Omari into the 10 position and rest Chaplin....although up against his former side Conor is going to be up for the game.

Really exciting time and nicely set up for us to do the business against two teams who are either knackered or depressed!

Thought Moore was very good when he came on for him too.

I'd be surprised if Wes and Leif make it for Coventry - Wes might be fit enough for the bench maybe.

Hirst did some excellent things last night. Chaplin was criticised a fair bit, but I felt the ball wasn't settling anywhere but out wide, when he did get on it he found the wingers well. Had Hirst been a bit sharper we might have totally blown them away.

His moves and flicks into space etc where a refreshing change on our play. There was a massive difference when Moore came on too. Hull seemed to struggle with that more than when they changed Delap etc and we had to adjust.

Moore was excellent wasn't he. Hirst can do all the hard graft and Moore can exploit. Moore's running when he came on was really good.

Thought Hirst was decent for sure having been out so long and took his goal really well.

Agreed, Moore was also excellent and provided a different challenge which required them to adjust. Two great options now in that position.

Chaplin is a real confidence player, he's clearly not been quite at it recently despite getting the odd goal. The cutback chance he had yesterday and against Watford (or was it Boro) he'd have been finishing earlier in the season. If he starts, hopefully he can get a goal.

With the return of Burns and Hirst hopefully that will help him return to form over the next couple of matches.
