He isn't normal is he? Put aside his quality on the ball, the engine he has is absolutely ridiculous. 97th minute of a game and he is still running like it is the first. Someone on here recently posted some insight they'd heard that he is genuinely genetically a bit of a 'freak' (may have been Clive Baker).

He is some boy. Loved him thumping the badge on his chest at the end too.

Before you go too over the top with this love in...he was caught out for both of the Southampton goals.

By product of the way we play though isn't it? And undoubtedly it's a huge net positive over the last two seasons. It's actually pretty remarkable how little he gets 'caught out' for someone that has to play LB and left wing.

And he'd cramped up a couple of minutes before. Would have been totally excusable to play those final stages safe and bank a really good point in the circumstance. He's a machine and so is this entire team.

Its not the first time we have been caught with Leif going forward so much, but it is the Left CB and Midfield to cover his runs.

And didn't he go off early with breathing issues against Blackburn? Or did I dream that?

Some player!

He may be nominally Left Back, but in reality he's a box-to-box Winger. The attacking role far outweighs his defensive duties.

Much like we stopped even bothering to call Wes Burns a right back and eventually stuck someone in behind him.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

He was ridiculous, an absolute machine. Going to be absolutely gutting when we eventually lose him.

Think that's rather harsh.

The first he had to come to the player as nobody else was and he would have run in, he was then busting to get back when the pass took him out.

The second was just an incredibly good pass, sometimes you need to give the opposition credit.
