How was the high boot on Morsy not a yellow? Baffling.

Because it didn't kill him

Think that was the only way the ref was gonna give a card today

The same player caught him twice with his boot - once on the side of the face and again on the top of the head. Neither a yellow? WTF? Yet when an arm brushed the same Preston player's neck he cried like a baby and the ref stopped the game. Ref was atrocious.

Same player also barged over luongo from behind on the edge of the box in the first half.

And we got punished as Morsy was made to go off after been checked by the physio and wait for the ref to call him back on.

That's an outrageous rule to enforce when a player has categorically been kicked in the face, has a fat lip, and claret spilt. Refs should have scope to override that in those circumstances or at least make the offender stay off for as long or longer. Even in this case, he could have waved Morsy back on the moment the free kick was taken, at least.

If the ref had booked the Preston player as he should have, then Morsy would not been made to leave the pitch.

The ref and linesman were absolutely the worst set of officials we have had this season, and that is some statement with some we have seen previously.

If Morsy did that he would get a certain yellow. Ref was awful.

I thought the rule was if play was stopped for treatment then the player had to leave the pitch for 30 seconds but if treatment was given when the ball is already out of play then the player doesn't have to leave the field.
