Blackburn were pulling out of the US striker because we told them that we were now signing Moore.

Blackburn then panic and reduce their fee / terms and we are pivoting back to signing Gallagher.

Another theory: we were all set to sign both Gallagher and Moore. Blackburn then got told the cost of their loan was higher so they upped their fee for us and we said no. That is now being ironed out possibly one way or another. Bournemouth getting a loan in allows Moore out but Cardiff are now upping their interest.

Christ. People still banging on about Gallagher. The deal was dead days ago, this singing makes zero difference to that. I think it's time we just moved on and focused on Moore. You never know, it could be a blessing in disguise.

There were questions whether the Wharton deal would go through last night. Now it seems to be on again, which appears to be why they're in for McGuire again.

I'm told Blackburn told Ashton three days ago they wanted £4million for Gallagher, and have been waiting for Ashton to stop laughing. He finally stopped laughing earlier today and said sorry 'for a moment I thought you said £4million'. The chicken farmers confirmed they had, Ashton started laughing again but finally replied £1.2m for Gallagher. Deal potentially back on, but the Yank's plane is still circling around Manchester airport at the moment, some issues with air traffic control and until B'burn can get him they cannot finalise the Gallagher deal.
