Aluko 15:33 - Jan 27 with 1822 views | FrimleyBlue | My only real question for today is why the need to play Aluko. I don't get it Ball. Yes as we don't have another rb. Humprhreys. Yes we don't have another lb Tuenzebe.. makes sense altho I've mentioned about him in another post. But aluko... I don't see why we played him.. I get Yes wonderful off the pitch. Brilliant. But give Jim a bench run if the games all sown up. Are we also saying there are 0 youngsters who aren't capable of playing against Maidstone? [Post edited 27 Jan 15:37]

Aluko on 15:46 - Jan 27 with 1653 views | ChampionsofInnsbruck | Aluko at least contributed to the game, what can you say for Broadhead and Taylor who did absolutely nothing for it. Axel T also pretty poor. Humphreys and Ball played well, as did Hutchinson and Sarmiento. Jackson should have started up top, Broadhead shouldn’t play the Hirst role.

Aluko contributed to the game in being a greater defender for Maidstone. Can't remember him doing much more than that.

Aluko on 15:47 - Jan 27 with 1627 views | Chocorange | That should be the end fir Aluko , he’s nowhere near the quality for this level , the amount of times he gave the ball away would make you ask if Maidstone would take him. Time catches up with all of us , time to decide if we want him on the coaching staff or not.

In the first 20 minutes he was working well with the midfield and helped us create chances. Taylor did nothing all game. Broadhead did nothing all game. So why single out Aluko?

Taylor and Broadhead were abysmal but both have helped the team at points this season and all we can do is hope they will do so again moving forward. In comparison, Aluko's legs have gone.

Ones a striker who can't play more than 45 minutes. The other I already said I understood why he was a left back today. I clearly was referring to a young midfielder stepping up instead of Aluko. Esp even more now I've found out Travis was on the bench. Surely there's cm in the academy who could have been involved against Maidstone. If not shut the academy as that's shambolic tbh. Also. Humphreys tbh you can't really class as a youngster. He's been the first team set up for a while now

Aluko gave the ball away several times when trying to hold onto it, couldn’t chase down or press , tried some passes that didn’t come off , got done for skill by a non league player near the centre circle and apparently missed an easy chance tho I didn’t see that At least Taylor and Broady got into good positions … Broady is in a bad patch and not a number 9 , There won’t be a queue for Sone .. great character but time is up

When did Aluko last have minutes in a game? Anyway, I have a feeling he'll now talk with KM along the lines of ruling himself out as a starter. Might still come on to help protect a lead in the last 10-15 mins maybe. [Post edited 27 Jan 16:06]

Ladapo has gone, Hirst is out for the season, Scarlett has returned to Spurs, Jackson is nursing an ankle injury so we are very short of forwards who can hold up the ball. If we do get a couple of alternatives in this month, I doubt we will see much of Aluko in a Town shirt again.

Aluko on 16:19 - Jan 27 with 1244 views | franz_tyson | Unfair to single out one player, but Alukos time here this season is a bit odd. If he's good for the squad on a mentoring basis and in training - then he needs to be part of the coaching staff, but not as a player. He never really did it for us as a player in terms of goals/assists in the first two seasons- so why should he do it now? And even more rusty. Feels like we're throwing him a few crumbs every so often just to be nice to him, but we were up against a bunch of players who were playing the most important game of their lives. It showed. This wasn't all down to Aluko, but at times like these you do wonder why we're giving precious game time to a 35 year old who has no future here as a player.

Why would we bring him on to protect a lead? We need players with energy and Aluko is rusty as hell and he didn't protect the ball very well today. Gave it away too often. I can't see him making a matchday 18 as we surely have better. I know he has these lovely baller skills, but I've has enough of these little cameos which usually amount to nothing.

Didn’t Taylor get the assist for the Ipswich goal? That’s doing something.

Aluko on 17:01 - Jan 27 with 999 views | BlueOura | Aluko was absolutely hopeless today, I know he hasn't had many minutes but even so he was just so off the pace it was embarrassing. I think its time he either calls it a day or drops down several levels if he wants to keep playing, I certainly do not want to see him in a Town shirt again, he looks completely spent.

Aluko on 00:24 - Jan 28 with 711 views | J2BLUE | Hate to say because he was so good when he first got here but he looks like he has aged 10 years. Give him a coaching role if he would take it. Would be surprised if he's in the 25 going forward.
