Judging by the amount of tickets sold so far, i guess there's quite a few waiting to finally be about to be able to get tickets with low pointed mates and attend together..I always assumed it would make general sale but thought we might have sold a few more up to now?

We, as a group of six, have to wait until tomorrow in order to get seats together. All for one and one for all... And all that.

Going to be a long day!

Train strikes are in effect on Saturday 3rd February, and Avanti West Coast, the railway that serves Preston will be affected.

Because there should be plenty of tickets, I'm taking my godson and his dad. Buy it means I have to wait until general sale.

My son is the Town mascot for this one. One of our closer games at just 3.5 hours down the road!

I’m waiting for general sale as one of our 3 doesn’t have any points. Feel waiting is a safe bet

Us too!

We're going Ipswich to Peterborough to Leeds to Preston on the day....but be careful because Greater Anglia are on strike on the day before and the early trains might not be running.

Coming back via London and bus replacement on Sunday.

What a performance for 90 minutes or so of football.

Oh crap, when was the Friday strike announced?

Edit....and what is causing the Sunday problems between Leeds and Ipswich ?

Strikes were announced on Monday I think.

Should be fine to come back across country on Sunday, ideally via Birmingham, if you want to avoid bus replacement.

I just prefer the Preston to Euston route.

Thanks for that. From what I can tell Sunday should be fine for Leeds to Ipswich via Peterborough. Where are you seeing that there will be bus replacements? I'm thinking of going up Thursday night now but if getting back is likely to be problematic I may well drive.

If you choose to come back via London on Sunday, there's bus replacement between Newbury Park and Ingatestone.

Got a feeling there's also an overtime ban as well so any train travel over that weekend could be a bit of an adventure.

Thanks. Peterborough to Ipswich it is then.

One of the closest for me as well. Especially since we don't play Morecambe any more.
