Away End - Loads of seats available 15:57 - Jan 6 with 3429 viewsChampionsofInnsbruck

I thought today’s away allocation was sold out? Is this people buying seats for points again or were they not on sale? If people are just buying seats and denying people who want to attend these games, surely we need a better system to deter this from happening?

People not sitting where they should and where I was the seats at the end of the rows (2 on some and 3 on some others) weren’t sold and cable tied up.

There were weird gaps all over. Looked really odd on the feed.

I think the amount of sickness around might be a contributory factor. My son cried off first thing this morning and I was borderline on going. Awful lot of sniffles and coughing around me at the ground too.

Lots of the gaps are because fans do not sit in allocated seats. Our row had more people than seats. At Watford, there were 50+ folk in our gangway. Was same at BCFC, lots of empty seats at front but crammed at back of stand.

Front row was not on sale for safety reasons

Would expect there to be some no shows - that is normal btw.

I missed the game with covid. Tested positive Thursday and again this morning.

Pretty much just a heavy cold now, but did feel it would be a bit twwattish to sit on a busy tube and in the stands.

Did offer my ticket on here but no takers.

So last time we went, I was in a side block with empty spaces. Was sold out and could see plenty of fans standing with their mates behind the goal which looked more than 1 to a seat.

Natural for the youth to want to congregate I guess.

Exactly this. I was one row from the back and it was heaving, loads more people than seats. Most people don't want to sit at the front so unless stewarding is rigorous this will happen. Also ticketing policy means people have to buy tickets separately and then naturally want to sit/stand together so they will move. Same most away games.

Well I ordered my ticket, forgot to check KO time. Couldn't make a 12.30 Ko gave my ticket away free to someone, who also couldn't make it. Sh!t happens.

Fair enough but it looked weird on the feed and highlights to see so many empty.

WTF is wrong with adults who can’t sit in their allocated seat for 90mins? Something I’ll never understand with football fans

Wimbledon did not sell all the tickets either. Front row, which is very visible, was not sold, and others have said there were other seats that were not sold for some reason.

Lost count of the times I have been told "the stewards have said it is unallocated seating" this season as folk - of all ages - justify standing where they want.
