I agree. Why can’t we be flexible on this?
We sing ‘McKenna knows exactly what we need’ but then we call him out for not having Woolfie or Freddie on the pitch. Imagine how Hirst feels about that.

It's not so much sentiment, tbh... Just a bit of respect for a player that played a big roll in getting us to where we are , and who will still be present, for now, when that chant is sung.
People sing what they want at the end of the day.
Just seems a bit fickle to me at this moment in time.
Stick a players head in the dirt, when he's still in that dressing room. Not ideal, imo.
I know some fans have never taken to FL for some reason. But for me, he's done his bit, on our journey, so far.
Every one of those players, that have played a part in some of the best times we've seen in decades, should "all" be shown a bit of respect, imo.

100% just a song we sing and even the players sing it. It absolutely makes no odd who we sing it about. No need to change it. It's good as it is. Ladapo is still one of us.

A bit like our unusual formation and weird processes according to the opposition we as fans should be adaptable to whomever is on the pitch. When Hirsty gets some love he’ll probably score three goals [Post edited 23 Dec 2023 2:08]
