Mixed feelings about tonight 23:16 - Nov 1 with 1225 viewskizaitfc

Yes had we played a stronger 11 we may have won the game.

But what if we didn't win the game and we picked up some big injury to a key player(s)

Even the most rose tinted spec town fan can't see us beating the likes of Newcastle and Liverpool so risking key players would have been nonsensical in a cup we were never going to win.

It did highlight some players that are nowhere the level of premier league, like Donacien, Ball, Ladapo, Jackson. If we were to go up a lot of business would need to take place in my opinion.

Poll: Mick in or out? (not a dig at Mick just want to see the overall opinion on here)

It is what it is. Done what we've done in the cup this far, put some important minutes into some players who needed them (especially Walton and Tuanzebe) and Baggot's got a goal and further showed he's ready to be used in the first team in the league as and when. If we were to get promoted then this gives us more of an idea of where we need reinforcements.

It was a disappointing performance, the worst for some time, but I'd rather it happened tonight than Saturday or 16th December.

your fourth paragraph hits the nail on the head. And, to be brutal, I think we can add to that list.

Thought the message was pretty clear, with the selection. We have other priorities..
Got some minutes into Ladapo who is just back from an injury. And blooded Tuanzebe into the squad . Gave Walton a chance to regain some match sharpness. And pretty much rested the entire first eleven.
Defeat always tastes sour. And perhaps we could have made more of a fist of it But they were a top opposition. And just had more quality on the pitch than we did..
This will probably keep a few of us a bit more grounded. Been a while since we took a hit like that.

People are also forgetting what a good side Fulham are and what a good manager Silva is.

They've played a great style of football for a few years now. They're well ahead of Wolves in terms of development.

Poll: Pick a goal to win the derby in stoppage time...

I'd argue that a lot of that business needs to be done in January. We have a strong starting 11 and 3-4 good options off the bench, but probably need to upgrade the likes of Ball, Aluko, Donacien and arguably Jackson and Ladapo. Ceilings have been reached.

If we're able to have another strong window, then we are well set for having real go from January onwards.
