Taylor and Hirst have clearly both been long term targets and have been secured.
Personally I’d rather do no more business rather than any last minute panic buys. I’m quite happy for the squad to evolve over the next couple of windows | |

Difficult one because the business we have done has been very good. To get two long time targets in for £3m and add Slick, Willliams and Hutchinson for depth is a great start but we now need another good striker and a centre back to finish it off.
Right now, a harsh 5 as we would definitely be short up front and fans always overestimate the ability of younger players to step up so we definitely need another CB.
Hoping that 5 becomes a good 8 or more by the end of the window. |  |

We have not signed anyone that improves on our first team that played in league one yet. We have only slightly improved our bench. Our squad is fine for finishing mid-champ, but if the owners are serious about pushing on/ competing for play offs at least, they are giving McKenna a lot to do if no more signings happen. | | | |

Hirst, whilst signed permanently was on loan with us last season.. Taylor is clearly someone they'd been chasing for a while too, but was good to secure him.. Slicker has proved to be a useful back up keeper in the cups and is a straight choice between him and Hladky for our number 2, behind Walton. Hutchinson comes with pedigree and expect to see more of him as the season progresses, Williams also has that pedigree, albeit hasn't started brilliantly, but it's early days...

Depends on whether you mean all the signings, ones we have invested for the future or the ones for the first team squad. i think fans forget the several youngsters we signed very early on in pre season.
If you are talking first team squad, I am not overly impressed, pretty much feel we have the same team we had last season with the odd squad additions.
We certainly have a team to compete in this league, but a few additions are required to compete at the top end and get out of this league. |  | | |

6- Happy with we has been done so far but if you said to anyone back in May if any area, which area must we strengthen, most would say centre back and you would of expected that to be one of our first signings.
It's great to have Hirst in but more firepower needed to be very competitive in this division.
If we do what we need to do before Friday, that 6 could easily get up to a 9 or even 10. |  |

We got Hirst and Taylor who we'd been after for ages. Slicker looks like he might do well here. Jury is out on Williams for the time being, he's barely played.
But I still think we need to strengthen up front for when Hirst needs a rest and at centre back. |  |

Happy to get Hirst in perm and for 1.5m which is peanuts for a youngish English forward in this market. Taylor is clearly a good player, once he finds his feet and establishes himself in the side I think he'll show his quality. I'm still a little bemused by Aluko extending, but it's not a big deal. Departures have been fine, would welcome a couple more too if we can. Maybe Edwards, Humphreys out on loan, Ladapo if there was interest and we have a forward coming in.
Chaplin and KM extensions are excellent news.
Could happily up it to an 8 with a bit of impressive trading over the next couple of days. Hoping we bring in some proven quality. |  | | |
