I hope he stays there and gradually takes them into relegation trouble next season first!

McGoldrick could have got a yellow for either of his tackles just inside our half. Ref just played on! Officials were really weak again under pressure from home crowd but they did also rule that Derby goal out. I wasnt sure there was a foul there but McGoldrick looked offside.

There was a bit of naughtiness in there that crossed the line between physical and thuggish.

I don’t agree. Burns was elbowed in the face within two minutes and McGoldrick absolutely wiped out Chaplin’s legs. Broadhead was targeted in the second half and right towards the end Harness was also clattered into. Warne before the game suggested that he had a game plan and stated that he had picked his most “aggressive team”. Hmmmm.

I saw his prematch interview this morning, he sounds absolutely clueless.

I don't recall Didzy being such a nasty fooker when he was here. He was lucky to stay on the pitch imo.

They had to really. They were never going to out play us. And, had we not scored a second goal, there could have been a horrible and undeserved end to a game we looked like controlling..
The beauty is, we are now showing that we can stand up to those sort of tactics, give it back, and let the quality moments win us games..
I mean, some s/housery from us in 2nd half was on full view when Broadhead and Chappers went down and stayed down. Just what was needed to stop their flow, when they were having one of their better spells... It's not for the purist, but teams do it to us. And we got what we went there for... 3pts..
But yeah, looking at Warnes teams, you always expect them to be physical and bullish, imo.. Just glad we don't get outmuscled in games these days.....
God, I'm so proud of our lads atm..

Watching the highlights on the Derby website with a camera angle from behind the goal there's a clear shove on Burgess which stops him properly challenging for the ball. McGoldrick also a mile offside and goes for the ball, arguably impeding Walton whilst offside as well. They can't really have any complaints about the decision.
