I was at the shareholders meeting just after the sale and they were asked and Derek Bowden declared it was 100% a footbball decision, to much gawfuls from the crowd.

Drissa Diallo.... on 10:00 - Jan 31 by davblue | trying to remember what type of player he was and how he did here. I remember him being very limited with the ball but being an ok defender who was shunted out to right back and didn't ever pull up any trees. |
We’re him and Santos part of the team in a long unbeaten run in 04’ or 05’?

Doubt it, I’m pretty decent at what I do.

Drissa Diallo.... on 10:12 - Jan 31 by Simonds92 | Think I remember him being really good until George Santos snapped him in half and he was never the same after that. |
Georges Santos had left Town in the summer of 2004 so even he wouldn't have been able to cripple Matthew Etherington in 2005. It was a big error by BFJ to put a centre back like Diallo up against Etherington, but he did sub him at half time & we did manage to draw the game 2-2.

Santos did start 28 League games that season. We didn't have any long unbeaten run in 2003-04, but did win 5 games in a row in October, culminating in that amazing 4-3 win at Selhurst Park.

Drissa Diallo.... on 11:19 - Jan 31 by MattinLondon | He was a very limited player but I think he knew that as well. Always gave 100% and he was, by all accounts quite a friendly chap off the pitch. I will say, that for all the posters saying that he was limited (including me), he played for us whilst a top half championship side - a promotion chasing one at that. A much higher standard than what we have now. [Post edited 31 Jan 2023 11:35]
