Agree - I had a look around and there was loads of empty seats scattered across all stands. Still not sure if the attendance announced is exactly that or ticket sales. Given H & S then it should be the former? |  |

They add together the number of season tickets sold, the number of match-day tickets sold and the number of tickets sold by the visiting club. They also add complimentary tickets issued, including those allocated to the opposition players and to scouts from the clubs who applied for them. It’s really no more complicated than that. Season ticket holders not actually attending the game are included regardless. |  | | |
