Doesn’t seemed to have settled at all at Burnley.

They are doing really well with such a strong squad, seems likely his game time will be limited from now until the end of the season.

6 month loan and reassess in the summer?

He got injured first game I think. Just making his comeback now.

Is he the type we need will be the question.

I feel like we need more composure on the ball in that 2nd 10 role ala Aluko, and Twine isn’t that type of player imo, he’s a superb striker of the ball and drifts into areas rather than getting his foot on the ball and dictating a game, taking people on. Where would that leave Chaplin and Harness who are similar types to Twine albeit not at his level.

A difficult one, better than what we have yes but would he be a priority for me, probably not currently in terms of his style of play.

If composure means being able to score a goal or two, absolutely. We need someone who can do things out of the ordinary.

Edwards is the only one we have who is close to that, and he has no end product whatsoever when he gets into the box.

Even Aluko, despite how much I like him and how much he improves us, doesn't really offer a goal threat himself, which he should given his quality.

It'll be fine if we can tie him down

This was speculated about on NTT20 podcast.

Assuming he could get fit then clearly would add quality, most likely in the Harness role. Arguably we've struggled for a player who is willing to take on shots outside the area (with accuracy), and he would certainly provide that.

Exciting addition if it could happen.

“Albeit, not at his level” are the operative words. Much as we may like players, if we get a chance to improve on them then we should. It’s all about incremental improvement from now on. Each new player an improvement - and that will bring pain as we lose some of our current favourites.

I think our issue is our number 10s don't show enough conviction when in good shooting or crossing position, which certainly can't be said for Twine

If we had the chance to sign Twine, we would rightly snap Burnley's hand off. 20 goals and 13 assists last season and also a dead ball specialist. He's a match winner.

100% yes, offers that creativity and goal threat we are badly lacking at the moment.

But Burnley won't be letting him go anytime soon.

Do you not think we need a player in that 10 who looks after the ball better who the ball will stick to? I think we have enough runners, people who get in the box.

I don’t disagree that Twine would be a good addition but on a loan it might put a few noses out of joint but maybe we are going to be ruthless in the market and let Chaplin leave.

That might be true for Harness/Aluko but Chaplin has a higher Shot Per 90 rate this season than Twine did last season in League One (with a similar conversion rate). He didn't connect well with his chance at Wycombe but typically is a clean striker of the ball.

He was injured for most of the first half of the season. I don’t see us signing him now, but he could be an ambitious target in the summer if we get promoted, especially if Burnley are in the Premier League.

I think we look after the ball perfectly fine, we dominate possession in virtually every game we play. Our best football this season has been with Chaplin/Harness in there rather than Aluko. They might not look after the ball quite so well but are more clinical in the final third, which is what you need from a 10.

Think some Finesse is needed in there.
