Don't they have attendance restrictions in Spain at the moment? Only 27k at Valencia v Real Madrid yesterday.

What? They're taking it seriously? Nah, that'll never catch on here.

Limited to 40k at Barca so still a poor crowd. Hope they, like Derby, struggle for a long while

La Liga is limited to 40% capacity at the moment. A typical weekday match against a team like Granada you'd expect around 60 to 70k. With negligible football tourism and some covid based reticence the attendance last night was about on par really.

Nobody here is seriously talking about any signings right now so not sure where the Pogba etc stories were dreamed up. Complete fabrication.

Barça are really going to struggle on and off the pitch for quite some time. There's really no need for fabricated or misleading stories as the truth of the situation is damning enough.

I did actually watch it to see how poor Barca are nowadays

Anyway in the commentary they said the attendance was 27k "which is 3k below the current allowance"

I watched it last night - they subbed Pique on upfront for the last 15 minutes and partnered him with Luuk de Jong. The days of tiki taka well and truly over at Camp Nou.

Was awful football compared to the last 20 years and I suppose expected but even so...imagine being a Barca supporter though

The recent golden era for Barcelona started with Koeman's free kick in the 1992 European Cup Final. Looks like it's ending with him failing again as a manager. Barça have their issues but they've been compounded on the pitch by a coach who is just not very good. The highlight of Koeman's managerial career as far as I can remember was one half decent season at Southampton.

Another issue for them is that who would want the job? it's huge pressure without the players to fulfill the expectations, add in the colossal debt then they face years of pain.

It's not a job any elite manager would fancy, which is why they are left with the likes of Koeman, who, as you say, has had half a decent season at Southampton.

Barca and both Madrid clubs are in a terrible financial mess.
