He has a better record at League One record which makes me think a loan wouldn’t be a bad idea in this case - 11 goals in 29 starts/7 sub appearances. See how he does, hope he can find his League One form then possibly make a decision to try and sign next summer or look to upgrade.
I think bringing in a top quality striker is going to be our big issue this summer, especially one who can work with Cook’s system. | |

Too often there seem to be players who had a good season at a particular club, but cannot then sustain that elsewhwere or at a higher level. In the case of a striker, perhaps because of the amount or type of service they were getting from the rest of the team. Or simply the vagaries of form. | |

Loans are fine when bringing in this quality.
Loans are clever if they mean we can bring in more quality without going over budget. Better to have a loan to buy and spend the money in the Championship when we won't be as penalised. |  | | |
