Don't think that's allowed.... on 16:50 - Apr 2 by PhilTWTD | The liquidated club's points are usually expunged from the league in their entirety. |
....splendid work. | |
| Enduringly lovable, intelligent and thunderingly exquisite. |

Don't think that's allowed.... on 16:48 - Apr 2 by StuartBrett8 | If there is no club after tomorrow, would we even be awarded the points by default? |
If there was no club after tomorrow I imagine that their 2018/19 record will be erased from the records so we would actually be one point worse off. According to the "Bolton News" there is a Company that was apparently set up specifically to buy the club claiming that they expect to complete a takeover within 48 hours so if that is right I imagine the High Court will be happy enough and we can look forward to a trip to Lancashire on Saturday.

Don't think that's allowed.... on 16:12 - Apr 2 by PhilTWTD | Think it would be the very last option the EFL would consider, a postponement seems more likely, assuming there is still a club after tomorrow's High Court hearing. |
Postponement doesn't seem right does it. If they cannot fulfil their responsibilities and there's a chance we may be less prepared because of it further down the line... What if the most unlikeliest scenario occurs and we then lose to them and get relegated by just 3 points. Well, that's not gonna happen, but just saying hypothetically.

More right than playing the game behind closed doors, from a fans' perspective certainly. But I can see your point re Town then having more fixtures in a shorter period. However, Bolton will probably end up with more congestion, of course. Behind closed doors hasn't seriously been mooted anyway.

When do you think we will know whether the game is on in full?

We'll probably have a better idea of where things are at after tomorrow's High Court hearing. The position regarding the new takeover will probably become clearer from there and then if some degree of stability has been restored then you'd imagine the safety certificate's confirmation would follow from there, probably Thursday I would guess. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Of course, if nothing appears to be near to closure on the takeover things will probably be even more up in the air.

I'd rather play the game than be awarded the points tbh.
