when we went a few years ago in the FA Cup, we parked at the NEC and then got the train in!

Just checked it out, return ticket from the NEC to Witton is £4.60 and takes 35-45 mins

We park the other way, on the line up towards Wolverhampton. Far better than trying to leave the car anywhere near the ground.

The only positive I can take from our impending slide down the football pyramid is the thought that one day we might actually have a fixture against this lot...

Park at Northfield Station south of the city and catch the local train direct to Aston.

You can pay to park in the nearby Tesco. One year i found a great place to park on a road a stone's throw from the stadium and it was free, never found it again since

I always park here. It's close to the motorway, free parking, 20 minute walk to the ground and has some places to get a coffee/burger before or after.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

There used to be a number of car parks in a factory area to the left of the Aston Express Way but not sure if the are still available.

Google maps say 29 minute walk. I am taking my 70 year old FIL does it really take that long? Is it doable for a 70 year old with a bad chest?

Good job 12th Man isn't about any more, he would have deemed you unworthy for going to the football with someone incapable of walking 30minutes and back, you'd never get a ticket again!

I've used JustPark last time and it worked out fine
You select from available street near ground, (its usually someone's driveway) play about £5 direct to JustPark and they give you the owner's mobile. Simple!

I've driven before, I seem to remember parking underneath a large bridge in a car park... was a pain in the ar*e to get out afterwards though. But only a 5min walk from the ground. B4137 the road was called.

That sounds similar to where my free parking was. Burger van and scarf sellers all down the road

I agree its a pain getting out so would prefer longer walk rather than sit in car for 30 minutes.

It didn't take me that long but maybe not ideal for you
