Think this could be a really good series just like the Sri Lanka tour with lots of fast scoring/flowing tests. West Indies look half decent especially in the bowling stakes with Gabriel, Roach and Holder all very good performers. My team although they won't go for it would be... Burns Woakes (they'll go Jennings) Bairstow Root Stokes Buttler Foakes Ali Curran/Rashid on conditions Broad Jimmy.
I'll predict a 2-1 England victory, chucked in a half day today to watch..always loved the Caribbean test matches, the 90 tour is probably the first away series I remember. Gooch, Lamb, Ned Larkins taking it to Marshall, Ian Bishop, Patrick Patterson and Walsh (Ambrose couldn't get in the side!!)...conch shells in the background and Tony Lewis on the mike, great stuff!!

Absolutely phenomenal from the old boy. Stokes taken up the slack as well. Think we are marginally in front even though we'll inevitably be 50-3 at some point tomorrow.

We’re getting licked, as the Windies would say.
I'm clinging to the hope that Windies are so preoccupied with milestones, they'll end up batting on into the fifth day leaving us half hour to bat in the match.
As a passionate follower of West Indies cricket, it’s about time we managed to post an acceptable score. Far too many times we have been humiliated by the Afghanistan’s, Bangladesh’s and Zimbabwe’s of the cricketing world. Not that this will change our world ranking but it makes fans like me happier to see that we have players that can perform against strong opposition like we had in the days of Lara, Hooper, Campbell, Chanderpaul and Simmons...
Harlesden's Arrogantly Talented with the Skill Abilities
And not a bad goalkeeper either....

If I'm honest, it is watching the great West Indies side in the 80s that properly got me into cricket. I remember the Ashes of 81 but was a bit too young to appreciate it.
That 1984 series with Greenidge hooking his way to two double hundreds, Sir Viv bludgeoning Willis and Botham over square leg, followed up by that amazing pace attack was just incredible to watch. David Gower actually declared on the fifth day of one test, leaving them seemingly with an impossible 344 to get. They won by 9 wickets.

621 to win.....looks unlikely
Hopefully Rory Burns gets some runs at the top of the order
Given his success in the county championship last season I expected him to have posted a couple of better scores by now. Really taking his time to adjust to the international scene, but I'd love to see him knock his first international century this series and start to make himself a mainstay opener.
I don't think I'll ever trust Jennings batting for England, it's like watching Peter Crouch hold a cricket bat, but by gum can he take a silly mid wicket catch....and almost got a wicket with his second ball today if his opening partner hadn't dropped it..
